Landed cost in Brazil: what to account for.
From factory to your stock: the lines that usually get left out of the importer's spreadsheet.

The FOB price is the start, not the cost
The price negotiated with the factory accounts for part of the final cost. International freight, insurance, terminal handling, import taxes, customs broker, storage and inland freight complete the bill.
The forgotten lines
Demurrage and detention when release runs late; terminal storage; the FX difference between contracting the rate and paying; and the financial cost of capital sitting in transit.
None of them is unpredictable — all can be estimated before shipment, as long as the route has been designed.
Simulate before buying
The landed-cost simulation should happen before closing the order, not after arrival. It is what answers whether the product has margin in the intended channel — and whether the chosen mode makes sense.
